13th JD CYDC Program

Kit Carson, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma County

As the most northeastern district, the 13th Judicial District covers an expansive 11,201 square miles, encompassing the rolling plains and agricultural farmland of Colorado. The district is known for its exceptional networking among agencies, with multiple organizations collaborating to provide human services, probation training, and support for at-risk children. This year, the 13th JD CYDC is concentrating on addressing homelessness within the community and striving to enhance education for all students.

PROGRAMS:

.17 FTE- Program development

program management and case management shared among two case managers and coordinator (need more info here) The 13th Judicial District's school districts, municipal courts, departments of human services, probation and community members contact Sterling Youth Services for referral to education/treatment services for marijuana involved youth and their families. Assessments are performed to determine the youth and families who are appropriate for MTR funded services. Programming available - THE MESSY IN BETWEEN - An 8 week online and live coaching program for skill building when lost in the “mess” in between the perception and reality of who youth are today and the positive and productive individuals they are hoping to become. MTR funds 1/5 of a CYDC Case Manager to coordinate marijuana assessment and programming throughout the judicial district.
